Bank of America Celebration at the Station
Annual Memorial Day Concert
Sunday, May 28 at Union Station
Join us for the 15th-annual Bank of America Celebration at the Station. Music Director Michael Stern will lead the Kansas City Symphony in a two-hour concert event featuring crowd favorites such as “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” “Armed Forces Salute” and Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” complete with live canons. Special guests include Grammy Award-winning singer Patti Austin and the USAF Band of Mid-America.
The concert will culminate with a grand finale when all eyes will turn skyward for a stunning display of choreographed fireworks, presented to the beat of patriotic music.
Veterans Story Booth and MapVisit KCPT's booth in front of Union Station where we'll collect stories of veterans. Vietnam veterans and their families are invited to mark the date and location of their service on a large 13 x 20 foot map.

Bank of America Celebration at the Station is the largest FREE Memorial Day Weekend event in the Midwest. The Kansas City Symphony, led by Music Director Michael Stern, performs patriotic favorites against the backdrop of Kansas City's historic Union Station. The event concludes with the most blazing fireworks display of the year!
